Maria recently appeared in According To The Chorus at The Road Theatre Company. Previous productions include The Gamester and Last of the Red Hot Lovers at the West Coast Jewish Theatre, with WCJT’s artistic director Howard Teichman in the award winning production of Lost in Yonkers; for her portrayal of Bella, she was named Best Actress in Beverly Hills by the BH Courier and Comedic Performance of the Year by Stage Scene LA. Also at Theatre 40: Round and Round the Garden (The Norman Conquests) Three Postcards, Escape From Happiness, Romance.com, Nicholas Nickleby (Ovation Award nominee) and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Inspecting Carol, Rimers of Eldritch, Taking Steps and Female Transport (DramaLogue Award) with Singular Productions; Asphalt (dir. Jack Klugman) at the Jewel Box Theatre; King Lear, Henry V, Pericles with FreightTrain Shakespeare. For The Artists’ Collective Maria performed in Mine’: A Name For Herself and Neva’s Tale at LATC (dir. Ted Lange), and for Theatre for the 21st Century as an Equity Guest Artist in the productions of Arcadia, Carnival, and Working. Also, she was featured as an AEA performer in Freak of Nature at the Road Theatre; Noises Off, Twelfth Night, What the Butler Saw, Taming of the Shrew, State of the Art at Sacramento Theatre Company.
